GOVERNMENT-ASSIGNED RESEARCH

Each year, APDA conducts surveys and research on population and development in the Asian region, and more recently Africa, under commission from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. These projects have been conducted with multilateral and bilateral cooperation from the countries involved and are promoting international cooperation in the field of population and development in Japan, Asia, and elsewhere.

APDA has been acclaimed for ground-breaking research in places such as Iran where APDA was privileged to conduct the first research since the Islamic Revolution and in Myanmar and Laos where limited research had previously been undertaken by external organisations.
