ABOUT JPFP

JPFP and Population Issues

In April 1974, a group of Japanese parliamentarians, who were deeply concerned about population issues and accompanying crises in natural resources and food security, established the Japan Parliamentarians Federation for Population (JPFP), the world’s first supra-party organization committed to population issues, with the objective of enhancing Japan’s international cooperation in this area and passing on to the world the lessons learned from Japan’s experiences.
